It has been awhile since I posted...but it has been a pretty busy couple of weeks.
This past week was Spring Break for us and we were fortunate that my mom came out to visit.
She had not seen her grandsons in over 2 years.
She had planned to come visit last April for Spring Break, but Covid had other ideas. So we had to wait a year.
J and B were super excited to hang out with her, and share everything.
B was happy to make cookies and "Pagratch" (an Armenian bread filled with nuts). The boy does love to cook...I mean eat.
We also visited several places while she was here, like the aquarium, and the air museum.
Overall it was a great week. The weather wasn't the best, but we made the best of it.
Sure, she can drive me crazy sometimes, and I'm sure I drive her nuts too, but I find the older I get, the more I appreciate everything she did (and still does) for me.
I think we have grown closer the older we get.
Watching her wrestle and tickle the boys was too funny. They actually begged to be "beaten up." I thought for sure they would pee their pants, they were laughing so hard.
It was great.
Tomorrow everything goes back to "normal"...boys back to school, hubby back in the basement "at work", me doing my workouts, and managing the household.
It sure was nice to unload some of the stuff onto my mom for the week.
But alas, all good things must come to an end.
I know I don't take for granted the time I get to spend with family. I'm sure I used to, but not anymore.
Every second is precious.
Hopefully we will get together again before another 2 years passes. That was way too long, not only for the boys, but for me too.
And I got to see her just a few months ago.
It will be nice to get back into our schedule of school, work, and workouts.
But it sure was nice to play for a week. Thanks Mom for a great week!
